| Description: | OOAK, Wonderful, hand made and painted Chess set by American artist Skylar Baldino from New York. The characters are based on the novel "Alice in Wonderland", published by Lewis Carroll in 1865. Alice visits a fantasy world populated by peculiar creatures. The main characters in the Chess set, who also appear briefly in Carroll s 1871 sequel "Through the Looking-Glass" are: The King and Queen of Hearts (Red), the White King and Queen, the (mad) Hatter, the Hookah smoking Caterpillar, the mischievous grinning Cheshire Cat and, of course, Alice.
The pieces are made of a variety of materials, the main components being polymer clay, wood, wire and acrylic paint.
