| Description: | Beautiful vintage, circa 1960s Pewter CHESS SET is in excellent condition and so attractive! Depicting the historical conflict in Spain between the Christians and the Muslim Moors. The set is silver pewter and gold wash pewter. The Muslims are silver, the Christians gold. Nice detail and interpretation of the pieces with the Moorish Queen having a veil covering her face and the King in a turban. The Christian King and Queen are crowned. Originally (NOT available) came in a wonderful fitted satin lined box to house these heavy pieces with a gold metal Knight mounted on its lid. The Kings stand 2.5" tall. Felt bottoms on all.
