Description: Stunning, Rare Kister Scheibe Meissen Style Napoleon And Josephine Playing Chess Figurine. Designed by Felix Zen, who studied and was among the top graduates at the Sonneberg Industrial School. From 1888 until his death he worked as a modeler in the A.W.F. Kister porcelain factory in Scheibe-Alsbach, Braunshweig, Germany alongside Schober, specializing in Rococo and Biedermeier figures and the reproduction of historical scenes. This figurine delivers a fantastic scene of Napoleon (an avid chess player) and Josephine seated, focused on a game of chess. Excellent condition, very rare, in white porcelain and gold trim. and in a great condition. Factory marked. Available. 2021.
