| Description: | Chess sculpture, thirty-two brass-copper-bronze pieces assembled into a single, elongated cube. Designed by French sculptor Jean Claude Laporte (Yanko). The chess pieces are fully functional and when game is over, can be assembled into a multi-layer cuboid. Assembly is fairly straight forward and intuitive - the pieces are paired (semi-locked male-female, then placed into a two-level frame-box and finally locked with a pin-key. Limited edition < 5 believed to have been made. A unique, traditional-abstract chess set that doubles up as an elongated cube puzzle. Approx. king size 3.5". Bronze, one side brass the other tinted reddish. Cube-frame is made of brass with wood base, divider level and top. When fully assembled cube 2.5" x 2.5" x 5" weights almost 6 lbs. 2023.
