Description: Fantastic Chess Set, pewter reproductions of western bronze sculptures by Frederic Remington. The light pieces are American Indians and the dark pieces Cowboys. Both sides are dressed with period clothing and carrying weapons. The rooks on the Indians side are represented by wild Buffalo while on the Cowboys side by domesticated cattle. This collection was issued by Time Life during the 80s, collected 2 pieces a month until completion. Marked 1989. Note that board / display cabinet are not included. A small number of the guns were bent but nothing is broken and they can easily be repaired by lightly heating the pewter and straitening the guns - leaving it for the skilled buyer.
