Description: Grandmaster Susan Polgar (born as Zsuzsanna Polgar) is a Hungarian-American chess player, and one of the strongest female players ever, having been Womens World Chess Champion from 1996 until 1999. She is an Olympic and World chess champion, a chess teacher, coach, writer and promoter and the head of the Susan Polgar Institute for Chess Excellence (SPICE). See more on Wikiperdia and similar sources. This tile represents the critical position in the game where Susan Polgar gained a decisive victory over world champion Chiburdinatze in 1995. Made by an Hungarian artist, it was hand autographed and immortalized in porcelain by Susan Polgar herself. The tile was initially purchased in a fund raiser auction in NY, raising money to support Susan Polgars initiatives of promoting chess activities and education among young girls and boys. P2018.
