I have not been able to find another set like this. Each piece looks to be hand made of clay and they are obviously a labor of love. These are truly unique. The detail on each piece is amazing. Even the windows in the rook pieces are carved out; the individual window panes have been further carved and are not just merely painted. Hair, clothing, fur; every part has a different texture and pattern to them. These are highly detailed and very well done compared to most other clay sets you will find. Even the fact that they are European style and made makes them different from the clay sets you will find listed here on eBay.
These pieces are about an inch to two inches tall. They stand well and each piece has an identifying stamp on the bottom that looks to be in the shape of a leaf or a tree. They are maybe half an inch wide. Excellent for display or even some play. Sold. |
